Let me come up to Camp and create content for Camp — lots and lots of content. The idea is to capture more photography and video assets than you could dream of the ability to create any and every type of deliverable imaginable. Pictures, GIFs, videos, compilations, interviews, short films, virtual tours, long-form videos and much more that could be used for the website, recruitment materials, social media, and reunions for years and years to come.
Not to toot my own horn, but you could say I’ve learned a thing or two in the last 11 months of working professionally in commercial video production and digital media. Nearly every single day I am creating content that is consumed by thousands of people. From social media posts to TV commercials. Writing scripts to brand development. So, I want to use my expertise and unconditional love for camp to help how I know best: by creating promotional content.
This new content would be a fresh, professional and exciting insight into the incredible experience camp provides. It would make camp standout in the summer camp recruitment arena. Potential campers and parents will be able to experience the pillars of camp before they step foot in the Northwoods.
It’s a simple. cost-effective plan that’s a win-win for you, Camp and me (I would be the real winner since I just want another excuse to make it up to Camp this summer).
Create an incredible video showcasing the sailing experience
Showcase the beautiful visuals of these historic vessels
Promote the programs to prospective attendees, their parents, and educators
Showcase the multiple layers of life onboard. (fun, adventure, challenge, beauty, learning, friends, growth, etc.)
Generate increased sales from the use of this video in advertising
Thankfully, we 54 days during the full camp season to get this done. With the following exceptions:
June 21-24 (Wedding in NYC)
June 29 (Co-worker’s wedding)
July 26-28 (Blackhawks Convention)
You get my personal passion, all in on this project. As well as the full creative efforts of my team back home that helps with the post production and video finishing process.
I only take on projects that align with our core values. Because if this it allows me to bring something intangible to the project. A degree of passion and purpose that works above and beyond to make our projects the greatest success they can be.
Camp Nebagamon is where it all began for me. In 2006 I picked up my first film photography camera in the basement of the Big House. I learned a think or two since then, but the foundation has always been there. Just take a look at my about page. It’s right there. Loud and proud. Now, 13 years later, ….
It's what sets our work apart from the rest. We focus exclusively on outdoor filmmaking. It's how you found us!
Creating great outdoor promo films is what we do, and what we do better than anyone else.
With over half a decade of sailboat filming experience, we are incredibly well suited for the task.
It is no small challenge to board a tallship and create the level of videos that we create. The experience and skillset has been hard won. Many mistakes, issues, unforseen obstacles, and lessons learned along the way. Now that we've been at it for a while, we've built a skillset and approach that allows us to create incredible results for our clients.
One of our sailing clients SALTS, has seen over a 30% increase in program signups ahead of schedule from previous booking years.
We worked with them in 2017 to shoot a promo video and instagram campaign, which performed brilliantly for them.
We don't set out to just make beautiful videos, or even simply to tell a great story. We set out to combine both those things with a direct effort to increase profits for our clients. We use video to solve problems.
Creating beautiful films takes a lot of investment up front. But how much worse is that investment if there is never a return on it!
We see countless other production companies make this mistake over and over again. Just making a generic video, because they feel that's what you ought to do.
What a waste.
We see video as an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful investment that has great returns if done correctly. It's no fun making videos that barely break even.
We make videos that turn a profit, and make returns for our clients.
THE TOTAL PROJECT COMMISSION
THE TOTAL PROJECT COMMISSION
The proposals we create are one price. That way there is no surprises or randomly increased costs. In this case the only opportunity for additional expense would be if we went with the July trip. We would then need to take into account travel to oregon and back.
In order to pull off a project like this, we need the cooperation, and collaboration of your staff on the shoot days. We have experiences with working around programming, but it's great to view this as a team effort.
Next step would be to discuss on questions you may have. From there if we feel this would be a great fit, then we would draft a contract and proceed from there.
The final deliverable of this project will be a promo video 2-3 minutes of length.
The file will be available in both 4k Ultra HD, as well as HD formats.
A short social trailer. We also like to included a 30-45 second version of the video to share on various social channels. This video helps to drive traffic and awareness to the full length promo. (Included is 30min-1hour of consulting to help optimize the different uses of the video)
There will be 4 social video edits credit in addition to the trailer, that are great for social media promotion
