"I worked with Jeremy Bloom for one year at the Occidental Weekly, Occidental College’s student newspaper. After spending three years at the Weekly, two of those in leadership positions, I can say that Jeremy was the most talented and creative photographer that I had the opportunity to work with. As editor-in-chief of the newspaper, my goal was to emphasize excellence in photography, and Jeremy was consistently my go-to photographer. Jeremy never failed to produce clear, emotional news and sports photos. As evidence of his talent, Jeremy earned honors for his news photography from the Society of Professional Journalists and the California College Media Association. He was the only photographer to accomplish this during my time with the newspaper. Jeremy has the potential to be a top professional photographer, whether that is working in news or another field, and I look forward to seeing his success in the future."
- Alex Nieves, writer at Sports Illustrated
"Jeremy has worked as our camp promotional photographer for several summers. During that time he has uniformly produced photos and films of outstanding quality. These are the types of materials that we use to convince families that Camp Nebagamon is a beautiful place where kids have the time of their lives and grow. While Jeremy’s technical skills and incredibly strong work ethic are impressive, his true gift is his ability to capture energy and emotion on film and translate it to the viewer. After experiencing his art, many folks have made a point of telling us that they were truly touched and emotionally affected by his work. And personally speaking, despite the fact that I have watched his videos literally hundreds of times, I can say without hesitation that I am still moved each time. A truly gifted guy."
- Adam Kaplan, director of Camp Nebagamon for Boys
"I consider myself lucky to know and work with Jeremy. His assistance on photo shoots consistently enhances results. His creativity, positive approach, enthusiasm and passion for photography are inspiring to me and those around him. I recommend Jeremy as a fine, dependable and reliable photographer. As a person, he is considerate and compassionate as is his whole family who I admire greatly."
- Richard Shay, Owner of Richard Shay's Photo Emporium
"Jeremy works for the Northbrook Park District as our summer freelance photographer. His projects include taking photos of our special events, summer camps and park scenery. We rely on him to get those one chance photos and he delivers. One of his photos won 2nd Place in the 2015 Illinois Park and Recreation Association Give Us Your Best Shot contest—Sports Category. His photos capture magical moments that in themselves tell a story and have elevated our marketing materials."
- Joy Stuart, Communications Supervisor at Northbrook Park District
